First Place for The Columcille School of Piping and Drumming

St. Columcille had another successful outing at the Fair Hill Scottish Games in Elkton, Maryland .

The Columcille School of Piping and Drumming won the Grade 5 pipe band competition taking home the Eilean Donan Trophy and the St. Columcille United Gaelic Pipe Band took second place in the Grade 3. We also had several band members bring home prizes in solo piping and drumming including the Open Piper of the Day Cameron Macdougall. Next up the Columcille School of Piping and Drumming and our Grade 4 Sean McGonigal Memorial Pipe Band will be competing at the New Jersey Irish Festival held at Monmouth Racetrack on Sunday June 7th.

The 2026 Competition Season is Underway

St. Columcille has a winning start!

Our 2026 Season kicked off on May 2nd at the Union County Celtic Festival with first place wins for all three of our competing bands! We also welcomed new members at every level. Next up the Grade 5 Columcille School of Piping and Drumming and the Grade 3 St. Columcille United Gaelic Pipe Band will be competing May 16th at the Fair Hill Scottish Games in Elkton, Maryland.
